Thousands rally in Brussels for peace march 'against hate'

Police said Sunday that around 6,500 people took part in the rally. Several prominent Belgian politicians, including Prime Minister Charles Michel, made appearances at the march. No incidents were reported to police.

Especially in the midst of the downward phase of the economic cycle.
Especially when Belgium can't even agree on its continuation as a state.
