Anyone got good links to the news coverage of their continuing protest at the Capitol?????????
Now that was unbelievable! See what happens when people put their heads together? Don't have a link. If I can find one, I'll come back and post for you.

(53 posts)Many of them are as upset with Citizen United as we are. Until we can join with them on this one issue, nothing will change.

I looked over the supporting groups and couldn't find one that I would hesitate to be allied with.
It is very heartening (especially as the two camps continue to up the hostilities towards each other here on DU) to see such a broad-based coalition. Makes me realize we really do have far more in common that this primary season seems to indicate.

(55 posts)Lets get the message out. Especially in colleges.
Independents can bring a friend to vote, encourage them to come with you.
They are much more likely to vote for Bernie.
Help them to vote by taking them to the voting station.

(9,090 posts)would be great places to protest.
once a few of them are pushed into ending their endorsements of and support for rw radio others would follow, it would fall apart and advertisers fled, many of the goals those orgs struggle against would be a lot easier to achieve, and dems could easily get supermajorities
at a cheap $1000/hr x 15hrs/day x 1200 stations, rw talk radio is worth 4.68 BIL$/ year or 390MIL$ /month FREE for pro republican wall st think tank propaganda and swiftboating working against those goals

(11,945 posts)Am familiar with most of the groups and a supporter of several, BUT there are at least a couple on there who have endorsed the corporate-funded candidate.
These two stood out for me:
NOW -- http://nowpac.org/hillary-clinton-2016/ (I understand that they would choose a woman, even if she is a conservative and highly corporate.)
SEIU -- http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/17/politics/hillary-clinton-seiu-endorsement-2016/ (Again, union leadership often chooses the politically powerful candidate while membership chooses the friend of working people.)
This might be okay for the Democracy Awakening's purposes, but I think people should at least be aware of it.

(24,653 posts)My son goes to FSU and Andrew Gillum is from Tallahassee, but I'm not sure if he is still there now. I keep telling the boy he needs to find out if he can meet Mr. Gillum at some point. I think he would really enjoy, and get a lot out of, a YP4 fellowship.
