One has to look at both the open obvious as well as the secret long term agenda of the RW Christians that is supported by GOPPERS.
They hate the idea of LGBT's and believe they must be repaired or destroyed. They hate fornications, self stimulation, sex outside of marriage, contraception, et al that is not approved in the BIBLE. That have the same sexual taboos as the most puritanical Islamic sects and one wonders if they have the same remedies.
No matter how minor these dictums are laws seem to be or how ridiculous or absurd or seemingly remote the fruition of these ideas seem to be they must be taken seriously. And non believers must fight back. To believe that such a draconian society could not come to pass is very risky. For example who would believe back in 1950 that a place like North Korea could survive and continue to exist into the 21st century. That such a totally outrageous and sick society could even exist at all. Who could imagine something like Boko Haram or ISIS could do as much as it has done.
As laughable as some of this religious bullshit is the passage of so many onerous laws around sexuality should be a wake up call.
These religious nuts are serious and determined to push their agenda on the US. A lot of this crap comes out of Texass. Sadly it is not the only state where this religious vomit originates.

(14,308 posts)are sure designed to look exactly like penises, so color me skeptical. In fact some are advertised as modeled after one porn star or another's actual penis.

(17,045 posts)I've been in enough head shops and other places and see them, they do indeed look like penises. I think the "packaging" says "massage" or some such nonsense!

(16,423 posts)- Control what women can do with their bodies.
- Control what you can do with your body.
- Control which kinds of partnerships are okay and which are not.
I have a theory why Conservatives don't like science: Because you can't control it.
No matter what you would like the outcome of the experiment to be and no matter what laws and sweet-talking and bribery and force you use, science keeps doing its own thing.
You cannot control science.
And that makes it scary.
