(50,950 posts)Unless LP is a State Party Chair or Vice Chair would not normally be an automatic delegate.

(145,321 posts)We elected three SDEC members in 2012 to go to North Carolina for the National Convention. They each had to be elected at the caucus like other national delegates. The chair and vice chair are delegates and there are separate elections for DNC members.
It takes a ton of work to be on the SDEC. Congratulations

(3,825 posts)It has always been a great experience working with people who love politics and love this country. I had the honor of working with the State Democratic Party in Texas when I lived there. We had such a diverse and vocal group. Hopefully we built something that will grow in that state. Everyone should be involved, no matter who they support, and thank you for serving and giving your time.

Don't lose the focus on the people. Remember why you're there. Do the most good you can. Enjoy yourself.
I hope you succeed.
