become Trump campaign headquarters. I leave it on in the background as noise and it's been non-stop Trump. Good thing reruns of Seinfeld are on...

(11,945 posts)I just loved him a few years ago when he was host of the weekend morning show, "Up." He was earnest, progressive and politically aware.
I know has a wife and two kids, but surely he can support them without selling his soul.

(6,719 posts)Stopped watching MSNBC several months ago when they went all Trump, all clinton. I know they are mostly keeping their jobs. Still a UUge disappointment. Guess what. I don't miss them! Big shock. I have had a blast discovering all the alternative media stuff. Even shelled out a few bucks. Good steady investigative journalism is hard to find. MSM have announced that in the future they will be looking for reporters with economic backgrounds. You and Seinfeld have a good afternoon, smile.

(9,463 posts)I'm watching several people thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. I'm also watching docs and vids of liveaboard on the canals of Great Britain. Much better than the constant we-know-you're-stupid-and-we-love-taking-advantage-of-you-to-rule-the-world daily cable propaganda networks.

(6,719 posts)The Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Coast Trail are wonderful trips to dream about. Have read a lot of the books. Used to live in Vermont a few miles from the AT. Always enjoyed giving hikers a ride into town. They would buy Ben and Jerry's and woof it down. They needed the fat and calories. The hikers came from many countries. That was a surprise to me.

(9,463 posts)...been 3 decades since I backpacked. It's the beginning of my training to attempt my first section hike of the AT. I would love to be able to thru-hike it but I can't take 6 or 7 months off. So, I will attempt to do so by section hiking as much of it as my life will allow. Also, I want to section hike the PCT.

(4,462 posts)... of Trump seems more "non-stop" on MSNBC than other networks/news outlets ... but to be completely fair it is often not particularly flattering toward him from a progressive point of view. Rachel, Lawrence and Hayes seldom have anything genuinely positive to say about him, and they are overwhelming critical of him as they run clip after clip of his latest rally, commercial or interview.
But since Trump's general strategy is the old "no publicity is bad publicity as long as they get your name right" - a strategy that clearly seems to have worked quite well for him - they help him even when they dis him. And, as a bonus, being poked at by the "pointy headed liberals" on MSNBC is a feather in his cap with much of his base.
So - in the end - I don't think it's accurate to say that they "support" Trump, but they are certainly "boosting" him.
We are witnessing a very odd election cycle, I think.
