. . .because i never registered with either party. That being said i've essentially been an anti-Republican since Nixon.

Some might call that a democrat, i suppose. I consider myself a liberal independent that doesn't believe in any of the economic concepts of the right.

But I consider myself to be independent-leaning. I vote for the candidate who best represents my views. Most times they are DEMs, but I vote for candidate before party.

but changed to Independent after voting for Bernie in the caucus. The DNC and DWS have corrupted the party and I am disgusted by the manner in which this primary has been conducted.

Which is really what the Democratic Party used to be, and should be. It's a viable and growing third party, and the true Democratic-Socialists. And the beauty part for me is that here in New York State (and I'm close enough to walk to Katz's), candidates can be on more than one party ticket. I voted for Barack Obama twice on the WFP ticket. That helps grow a third party, and doesn't "throw away" my vote.

Can you make that an option?
Might want to list the Green Party as well?

If the two major parties were Dem and Green, with the repukes banned the way the Nazis are in Germany, I'd be your basic middle-of-the-road swing voter.

I have recently withdrawn my support from all political processes, parties and alignments, because in my view, "Both the left and right wings belong to the same bird."

My "hobby" is studying the interactions of thermodynamics, ecology, evolutionary biology and psychology, anthropology and sociology within the complex system of human civilization. What I have discovered over the last decade has convinced me that human organization - of which politics is the canonical example - is the engine that is destroying our planet. Because of that I can no longer in good conscience support any political organization.

I am a registered Democrat and have been since 1988. I voted for Michael Dukakis. I was horrified when Bush Sr was elected. Now I am thinking to change to Independent. It is almost a certainty if Hillary is nominated. But, on the other hand it's a lot easier to get resolutions through if you are a Democrat. So, I have stuff to think about until the convention.

If what I post before the GE gets me banned, well, there's a lot of other stops on the internet to visit. DU ain't the only pony in this rodeo. (Somebody stop me before I hurt myself!)

I picked other, because while I've voted for and supported Democrats all my life, I registered as Independent, until that became a viable party in NC. Now I'm unaffiliated. How exciting! I never wanted to be pigeonholed into a single category. Person over party, really, at least locally.

However, I'd probably be more of a Democratic Socialist, if I thought about it.
