Yesterday, on Hardball, Matthews was going to cover several items about Trump

There was his "interview" with the magazine some 20 years ago, there was his "none of your business" about his tax return, and there was something else that I cannot remember.

But with each item, my reaction was the same: for his supporters it does not matter. For his supporters it is - yeah, give them hell.

I really don't know why all the pundits and the media - print and digital - spend so much time "exposing" Trump. He does not care and his supporters are encouraged.

The last guest of Bill Maher said it succinctly: it is not about Trump, it is about his supporters. Trump gave exposure, even respect to all the fascists in the country who can now get out of the shadows and be proud of their ideas.

Drumpf will end America , that is a given, but he may also end all life.

This country wants him though, so I will accept that when the election is stolen in Nov.

Those days are over. The demographic of the country has changed.

We saw that in 2012. Romney won a yuge majority of the white vote and still lost handily.

...the easier it will be to sell the candidate "they" really want.

A nice quiet centrist, beholden to all the 'right people' vs. a wavy haired buffoon. Even by historical standards, this should be a no-brainer.

The ruling class knows this.

Unfortunately, my poor family are all Trump zombies now. They openly say the most outrageously shocking things with no hesitation of remorse. They're like toddlers who hear a naughty word and giggles while endlessly repeating it. They so emotionally invested to Trump that they just react, they don't think at all. It's all about what they want, everyone else can get out of "their" country, and it'll be great, you'll see... que the rainbows and magic ponies.

Delusions they fostered onto their children and grand children, so they have a lot invested in destroying the rest of the country...in order to save.

Freedumb logic is a strange beast nobody understands including the GOP. It just is, like their ability to detect global threats to 'Merica that nobody else can detect or notice or find any fact of.

Like attacking a country for no good reason and watching 5000 military personal die over a huge lie approved by the PTB. Same thing happened with Bush/Cheney fanatics. No matter how much factual proof was shown over Iraq, they just went ahead and let untold Iraqis get slaughters, while we lost thousands of military professionals.

Freedumbs...they never work, but that means they just need to be forced onto the population harder next time.

Our fawning corporate media has long ceased being a voice of reason tasked with speaking truth to power. I'd bet that MSNBC spends more time covering Trump than Fox Noise by far. Why? The folks who watch MSNBC ain't going to vote for the Donald. It's much the case of giving people what they want to hear, just as Fox does, to sell more soap and cars.

Had we a real mainstream media capable of presenting the issues and candidates in the bright light, Trump would have been gone a long time ago - and probably Cruz and most of the others as well. But the fear of appearing biased rules the realm. The cameras cannot leave Trump alone and he knows it. It's the longest running slow-motion car wreck I've seen since lil' Shrub was actually putting on his cowboy boots for a run to the White House - a candidate who was never held to account and clearly a light weight candidate.

Popularity is the coin that pays and our elections have much in common with High School elections based on which student will bring the most soda machines to the hallways.

I think each candidate should be asked math questions, geography questions, history questions, and questions about the government like "who would you appoint as Secretary of Agriculture and why" and "What is the main function of the Department of Labor". I would love to see these people squirm if asked - How many times does $200 million go into $10 billion?
