Largest Latino organization in US dumps North Carolina over 'bathroom bill'

http://www.gaystarnews.com/article/largest-latino-organization-us-dumps-north-carolinaover-bathroom-bill/

The National Council of La Raza has announced that it is moving a conference from the Tar Heel state to Miami, Florida, in protest of the anti-LGBTI law.

‘Hispanics know what it is like to be singled out and stripped of our humanity because of who we are or what we look like,’ says NCLR President and CEO Janet Murguía....

‘With the wave of anti-immigrant state laws in recent years, the Latino community is all too familiar with legislation that purports to “protect” but, in fact, legalizes discrimination,’ Murguía says.

‘By taking this action, we extend our support to the efforts of so many in North Carolina and the LGBT, civil rights and business communities to repeal this egregious law.’

If our so-called minority groups learn to stand together and fight with each other instead of against each other, nothing can stop them. As a white male, I can admit that I have a bit of anxiety about that, but hey, human rights transcend details like gender, racial, or ethnic differences. The world is a better place if we all get along and treat each other with respect and cooperate with each other instead of always competing to the figurative (and sometimes literal) death for ever diminishing resources.

The RWers have thrived too long on their ability to divide and conquer 'minorities' and the lower classes.
