Ok, that's it I'm done with 60 Minutes ...

I canceled my cable over 10 years ago so maybe my bullshit filter is a little off. And I stopped watching 60 minutes for about a year after the Lara Logan rightwing bullshit story.

But tonight I checked in on the show and found out what a tall pile of steaming bullshit of an interview they did. This one was so big it came with an extra helping of special sauce bullshit.

Norah O'Donnell interviewed longtime Obama aid Valerie Jarrett.

O'Donnell discovered that not only was Jarrett one of Obama's most trusted aids, she was also... wait for it... wait... she is also a close personal FRIEND!! of Obama.

O'Donnell finds this so upsetting she is ready for the smelling salts!! She was just absolutely AGHAST!! to find out they were FRIENDS!! At this point in the interview O'Donnell is completely exacerbated by this news.

You see my dear 60 Minutes viewers, for the President to have a top aid who at the same time is a close friend.. well this is just SCANDALOUS!!!!!!

At some point Jarrett asked O'Donnell something to the effect of 'whats the problem with that?'

You see, my dear 60 Minutes viewers, this means that Obama has a CONFLICT OF INTEREST!!!

That's right, it shows... it is PROOF! that Obama has a conflict of interest with one of his most trusted aids!! This is just scandalous!!!

Later O'Donnell pointed out that Obama couldn't get the Republicans to even hold a hearing for his SCOTUS nominee. And you see, my dear 60 minutes viewers, since we have the most obstructionist Republicans in the over 200+ year history, this is proof that Obama is a bad leader and a bad president.

It is all Obama's fault the GOP are a bunch of do nothing assholes. You see, Obama should have 'schmoozed' them and then everything would be super duper and the GOP would hold hearings and do whatever Obama wants. But noooo, you Obama refused to 'schmooze' the GOP and that is proof he is a bad bad president.

Just how was Obama suppose to 'schmooze' the assholes?? Well, he could have started by inviting them to the White House to talk!!! And then they would all magically become 'friends'

Except, oh wait, Obama DID invite them to the WH... well, you see, its all Obama's fault because he didn't invite them SOONER. But, oh wait, turns out Obama DID invite them sooner... well, it doesn't matter, because it is all Obama's fault and proof he is just a bad leader and a bad president.

What about Obama's staff, well he just can't keep people, he is a bad president and he has had 5 chiefs of staff, and that is proof he is bad bad bad.

Oh, and also, the aid O'Donnell was actually interviewing had been on Obama's staff a long long time, and this of course means that Obama is a bad president and plays favorites.

At that point I had to turn it off. That was one of the most bullshit filled interviews I have ever seen. I don't know who this O'Donnell is but they should send her back to Fox News or talk radio or wherever the hell they found that hack. I would not have been surprised if O'Donnell asked.. 'A lot of people don't like Obama because he is black, so WHY is Obama still black???!!'

That's it for me, for 60 Minutes to air that crap on national television is just pathetic, after over 30 years I am done watching that show ever again

Everyone knew because it has been stated over and over again, since 2009, Valerie Jarrett is a personal friend of the Obamas.

There is a huge problem. It means the Laura is rather slow on the uptake and really needs to find another line of work. She obviously doesn't have what it takes to do anything resembling journalism (not that their is a whole lot of that in the media any more, but she obviously isn't up to doing this job), so she finds an obtuse angle for a completely nonsensical story line.

should have been better informed: an aid is not an elected position. it is selected by the commander in chief and can be anyone they trust - and who passes a security background check.

watched the first 2 segments but switched to save myself from the tragic story of the vaquita dophins.

interestingly, the valerie jarrett interview was not listed in the guide as a part of the program. jarrett is also a trusted friend of michele's and the 3 of them have been palsy-walsy for many years. so glad i missed ms o'donnell's exasperation. valerie jarrett probably had a big silent "wtf?" bubble over her head while maintaining professional composure. i know i would have.

Our American media stinks and rots our nation. O'Donnell is just another in a long list of so-called journalists struggling to keep herself above drowning in America's ever rising ever increasing poverty of power ergo freedom.

Valerie very ably put her back in her cage.

I got a distinct "misogynist" vibe out of that mess. Norah doesn't like that this "upstart" woman has held her own in the high-powered Oval Office environment, while several men have come and gone.

All the corporate media employ right-wing hacks and then pretends they are 'journalists.' In this case O'Donnell just made her twisted bias screamingly obvious.

O'Donnell is a female Bill 'Felafel-Freak' O'Reilly.

That's the kind of 'reporting' I would expect to see on Fox news, to see it on 60 Minutes is a sad state of affairs
