... Michael Joseph Finicum, 40, pleaded guilty in April to misconduct with a weapon in one case and aggravated assault and aggravated robbery in a second case. He had been charged with six other counts, including vehicle theft.
Finicum is the nephew of Robert LaVoy Finicum, one of several dozen militia members who occupied the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge ...
Mohave County sheriffs deputies in November 2015 stopped a vehicle on Highway 389 near Cane Beds in which Finicum was a passenger. A record check showed Finicum to be a convicted felon. Being a prohibited possessor, he reportedly had four throwing knifes strapped to his left arm under his jacket as well as a large knife in a sheath on his belt, according to MCSO.
In the assault and robbery charge, Finicum reportedly assaulted his father Jan. 23 at a Colorado City residence and took his vehicle after his father refused to allow Finicum to borrow his car. He was arrested April 8 in Washington County, Utah.

(7,495 posts)a few years ago, very weird. The locals will not even look at you. Many of the houses are like little compounds with walls. They are never quite complete. If a house is "under construction", a loophole defers/avoids taxes.
