How does somebody so screw up his/her life that having Trump as president looks like an improvement?

Either that, or they're convinced Hillary would ban their guns. To be fair, she has constantly mentioned wanting more gun control.

I think Hillary or Bernie would completely wipe him out in a debate on hisl level if they just learn two simple words: "Yo' mama"

I was talking to one of our agency's sales reps. from GA yesterday and we got on this topic. He said he hated Trump, didn't trust him at all, but would still probably vote for him because he hated HRC worse, considered her a bigger liar. We debated quite a while about "who's the worst", but he's a repug through and through and so ended up saying he'd either not vote for anyone for president
(yay) or would probably just end up holding his nose and voting for Trump.

That's why it's so important that Dems vote for the Dem candidate, which without a miracle, will be HRC. Is she a corporatist and too warlike, yes and yes. Will she turn the country to straight on fascism, NO.

I'll vote for her as the anti-Hitler (Drumpf) alternative and pray for the best. Or, a miracle could happen and I get to vote for Sanders, joyfully.

They will forgive him everything if he builds the wall and sits on muslims.

They will even forgive him being obscene in front of their christianized children.

The Trumpet Trumpbots have these characteristics:

* Authoritarian submission
* Fear
* Self-righteousness
* Hostility
* Lack of critical thinking
* "Our biggest problem" thinking
* Compartmentalized thinking
* Double standards
* Feeling empowered in groups
* Dogmatism
* Ethnocentrism
* Prejudice

Fear, binary thinking, and compartmentalized thinking loom huge in their world.

About Hillary Clinton. This election will feature two most polarizing candidates imaginable facing off against each other.

In 2012, we had two candidates (Obama and Romney) who were both very temperate and still the GOP turned it into a very polarizing election. Right wingers have not liked the direction that this country has been taking.

About Romney. And after four years of Obama, they weren't particularly threatened by a second term.

Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, is loathed with a white hot hatred by the right that they never had for President Obama.

The conservatives have been miserable with Obama. As far as they were concerned, in 2012 Obama had had 4 years of warning about his race and no matter how many times they warned him, he seemingly refused to become more white during those 4 years.

In fact, I remember conservatives saying in 2012 that it was the most important election in their lifetimes (I know, they always say that) and that if they didn't beat him in 2012, there would be no way to thereafter save the country from irreversible ruin. And, yes, you're right, they will be saying the same things again this year. They hate Clinton, they hate Obama and they will hate Sanders should he be seen as a threat.

As for "class and manners", well, methinks Van Jones is giving Trumpty Dumpty too much credit.

Drumpf has NO class. All the negative traits of the stereotyped "used car salesman". He will say anything for ratings and votes, not so unlike most other politicians, except there are NO bounds that he won't cross to do so. He is boorish, pompous and totally narcicistic. It's all about "me" and money. A most shallow sack of human feces with a comb over. Exactly what appeals to the reality life goons in our midst.

I'm ashamed of my country. More ashamed than I have ever been in my 68 years of being an American. This is personally painful. I no longer wonder what America would have done with a Hitler or Mussolini on the rise. We are seeing it with our own eyes, and with absolutely no excuse for lack of knowledge. Shame on the USA.

It's in the Bay Area just a few miles north of Berkeley.

Being forced to leave his position with President Obama turned out to be a good thing for the US.
