Apparently this gas station owner thought this guy had spent more than enough time at the pump. After giving him a 10 second warning, she proceeding to hit his truck with a pipe while he called the cops.

Doesn't excuse the crazy though it helps illuminate its cause.

Unless there's footage from a security camera, it makes no sense that the driver (any driver), would
be there that long... even if was for 15-20 minutes, I,d still call BS on her claim

He admits to sitting in his truck on his cell phone for an hour. Claims he lost track of time. So that's an hour that pump isn't making any money for the store.

And then he tried to play the "I'm a customer!" card. What a jackass.

I guess I've lived most of my life in rougher neighborhoods.

And I'll bet you anything that guy would have moved his truck instantly and apologized if it was me, a big white guy, confronting him.

It's impolite, to say the least, to leave one's truck in front of the gas pumps while shopping.

There's more to this story, and odds are good it reflects most poorly on the asshole and his truck.

Leaving a truck parked in front of a gas pump is not a crime worth a violent assault. The 'lady' is a violent nut.

Depending on time and location, a single gas pump in an hour would generate hundreds of dollars in revenue. These gas stations, many owned by immigrants, don't have huge profit margins. They work long hours to earn modest livings.

Take money away from people and don't be surprised when they respond violently.

5. She is so lucky the man didn't attack her.

Most states allow the use of force (less than lethal) to protect property. His sitting at a pump for an hour was stupid, but a cop could have moved him along.

22. Her Accent is Chinese..

and most likely what we call "FOB"... kinda like my friends mom, who is pretty amazing, bringing her Hong Kong ways with her to America. I learned a lot from her, and she has become my good friend as well. She knows I am part Japanese and holds no ill will to any Asian who has come to America. I told her we had three generations in Hawaii before our family came to the mainland.. She would bake cookies for us, when we were all kids in Elementary school... She always wanted to adapt to life in America, with her hubby and kids, most of whom were born here in San Francisco. (The oldest born in Hong Kong.) She owns a Tea shop here in the city, and used to give us free samples to bring home. I still see her from time to time at the Safeway market, and we say hello. I could never imagine her swinging a baseball bat, unless she bought one at a GIANTS GAME!!

Seriously, it sounds like the guy was being a d-bag and although it does not justify what she did I don't sympathize for him.
