1. There's a strategy behind the racist rants.

Trump is attempting to goad the judge into responding or remarking on his inflammatory statements. And if the judge took the bait (he didn't), then Trump's counsel could move to have the judge removed from the Trump U case, which is what Trump really wanted in the first place.
