Russian 'chessboard killer' bombarded with letters from admirers. He's trying to marry one of them

Notorious Russian 'chessboard killer' bombarded with letters from admirers - and he's trying to marry one of them

A Russian serial killer convicted of murdering 49 people has been flooded with letters from women - and he's now trying to marry one of them. Alexander Pichushkin murdered at least 49 people between 1992 and 2006.

He used a hammer to smash the skulls of his victims, mainly homeless or drunk men.

His victims however did include some women and children.

Pichushkin's signature was to wedge a bottle into their cracked skulls.

The serial killer denied he deserved the death penalty - which is no longer used in Russia - claiming his killings were "not murder" but "the hand of God". But what REALLY inspires these monsters to kill strangers, who have done nothing to them? http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/notorious-russian-chessboard-killer-bombarded-8056004

no longer has the death penalty? I guess that just leaves us in the "good" company of China, Saudi Arabia, N. Korea, etc.
