As Molly Ivins would have said, I think it sounded better in the original German.

"Politicians have used you and stolen your votes. They have given you nothing. I will give you everything. I will give you what you've been looking for to 50 years. I'm the only one."
--- Donald Trump

The media corporations won't let anyone have the freedom to say some of the things she said, much less how she said it!

...disastrous "Gore is the same as Bush" rhetoric that was certainly involved in the tragedy that followed.

She supported that tiresome, barely literate, paranoid fool Ralph Nader in the 2000 election.

Many people found Ivens amusing, but I was not amused.

I'm with you. I'll keep calling Shrub "Shrub" (her word) as I have since 2000.

and taught us the dangers of a third party. He warned us about Corporate takeover. I do not blame him for Gore's defeat. Gore won. It was the Supremes and Bill and Jeb who screwed the pooch. Ralph Nader has always been a worker for the people and should have worn those boots, but tried to wear the presidential robe and had every right to.

Nader is the reason why Bernie didnt go Indy. With the growth of the internet, Bernie really didnt need the Party to run- they did nothing for him, but to go 3rd party, he would be ahead , and would have crushed both partys. He has always stood for and sided with the Democrats. This year, both Partys have dealt themselves a fatal blow, their reign is over.

I have listened to Amy Goodmans show lately, better late than never, mainly because how MSNBC turned on us, and Nader has better sight than I thought. I have not heard him in 25 yrs and find his insight refreshing. As always, he is a tool against Corporations where he belongs.

...war, when many of us were in the streets protesting and otherwise working to oppose the war, he focused on the most important issue before humanity, NBA officiating

Right now, because of idiotic statements which Nader offered on environmental issues, seven million people per year are dying from air pollution.

Seat belts are small potatoes by comparison.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, can change my extremely low opinion of Nader. I will confess though, even before he, like Bernie Sanders, spent all of his time attacking the Democratic Party using some unjustifiably inflated self regard as yard stick, I already had a low opinion of Nader, so it's not like his Presidential campaign made me feel less of him. I already regarded him as a dangerous fool, and nothing he has done since has lead me to re-evaluate my position.

Have a nice afternoon.
