GOP asks for public's help crafting 2016 platform, launches interactive website

On the heels of the final primary contests that solidified Trump’s claim to the nomination, the Republican National Committee on Wednesday launched an interactive website, www.platform.gop, for people to share what they would like to see in the party’s platform. I'm not saying that a little well-placed mischief might be had but....

Of course it's a crock. In the vein of "Would you like to get beat over the head with a baseball bat, or a softball bat?", with no option to avoid the beating entirely.

But then, maybe that's the point. The GOP intelligentsia (?) can wash their hands of the landslide loss in Nov.

OK, Reeps, each platform has something that we call a plank.

But this is not the kind of plank you walk down and then go kerplunk ...

Oh wait ... never mind.

They started a website called "America Speaks" or some such nonsense, in which things like "finding out the truth about UFO's" tended to be upvoted by visitors.

That's how they arrived at the Contract on America.

Unfortunately, "mass suicide" is not one of their campaign planks.
