Trump Spokeswoman Blames The Media For Her Boss’s Racism

http://winningdemocrats.com/watch-trump-spokeswoman-blames-the-media-for-her-bosss-racism-video/

Katrina Pierson had a rough night Saturday; but then again she agreed to do an interview about her boss Donald Trump on MSNBC. In case you haven’t heard: Trump has made two race related gaffs in the last week. The first being simply comical: when Trump noticed the one black person in his audience at a campaign event he referred to him as “my African-American.”

That’s the sort of racist comment people his age make all of the time. Not necessarily proof he hates black people but strong evidence that he has trouble looking at them the way he does everyone else. The other was decidedly more sinister and direct. Trump is amid a lawsuit that claims he misled thousands of Trump University students about what sort of experience they’d gain under his tutelage. Like so many other for-profit universities Trump U was an overpriced scam that didn’t ultimately translate into success later in life.

In an attempt to bog down the suit Trump is claiming that his current judge should recuse himself because of his “Mexican Heritage.” Trump hasn’t yet addressed the fact that Judge Gonzalo Curiel been a US citizen since birth and would in no way be affected by any of the Republican candidate’s policies. He later added that a Muslim judge might have a similar probably remaining objective given his proposed ban on Muslim immigration.

So amid all of this heightened racial discomfort Pierson, Trump’s National Spokesperson, took to MSNBC trying to float the argument that Trump isn’t really making racist comments. Instead he’s actually the victim of an attempt by the media to color his comments racist by selectively airing certain points and ignoring others. The whole thing smacks of desperation; after all a racist statement is still racist even when followed by an apology. And just to be clear Trump has never apologized for anything. But let’s look at the comment she was pointing to in the video and see if it seems different in full context.
