I thought they had disappeared. I was wrong.

So, the other day, I got a telephone call. I didn't recognize the number and usually, I don't answer telephone calls from numbers I don't recognize. However, I saw the area code on my telephone's display and, since I was expecting a call from that area code, I answered it.

It turns out it was a robo call from--wait for it--The Tea Party! I thought they had gone the way of the dinosaurs, but apparently not.

It was more likely an invitation to a social gathering where there would be leaf-based caffinated beverages, and intense debate between the "bag" and "no-bag" crowds.

While you are occupying their line, they can't call someone else. That is if you have call-waiting. Then, if the important call comes through, you can always drop the tea-party.
