I was putting out cold water in the feeding areas and she walked up from the tunnels below, eyes glued shut from the URI discharge...picked her up and brought her home and cleaned her up. Brought her to the vet's and she's on antibiotics, but she is the sweetest thing, purrs whenever I go into the bathroom and loves to snuggle. Her left eye is completely clear, she's not sneezing or coughing anymore and her right eye is getting better. She eats like a horse and now that she feels better loves to play...gonna hold off introducing her for a couple more days until I know she's better so the others aren't exposed...may try and introduce a couple of the older males sooner...she's lonely in the bathroom, but I can't be in there all the time.

(111,339 posts)people will definitely look at you funny. My ex and I topped out at five and people did look at us like we were bonkers.
We were, of course, but the cats had nothing to do with it.

(6,344 posts)I then got a large wire dog cage, so it was open on all sides. Not a plastic one that is closed. (they make them for cats too). I put in a shelf and other comforts. Put the cage in front of a window so she could see out. She could heal up from her ear mitts and eye infection, all the while being a part of the household life. Worked great!
