Infamous GOP job creators, where are you? Here are some jobs you can save NOW!

The Taylor Cos. of Bedford, Ohio's oldest business, is closing after nearly 200 years

The Taylor Cos. survived the Great Depression, but the Great Recession proved more formidable for the furniture maker that calls itself Ohio's oldest continuously operated business.

Owners of the 196-year-old Bedford company -- family-run for seven generations -- announced Friday that it will close after filling its existing orders. No date was given.

In a news release, company executives said that not receiving an $850,000 tax break it had expected from the state for moving its headquarters to a former brownfield about five years ago weighed heavily on its decision.

"This is a sad ending in so many ways," Executive Vice President Brett Meals said in the release. "It's sad for our local communities, our Taylor family of employees, and it's certainly sad for my family. It was not for lack of trying. " (snip)

Ohio CEO, er Governor, John (Lehman Bros) Kasich: Surely this is merely a clerical error! Everyone knows the GOP is all in favor of job creation/retention ...right?
