So, I love them all and I'm lucky to live in a place where I can hear actual progressive talk.

I like Bill Press, Stephanie Miller, Ed Schultz, Randi Rhodes, Norman Goldman, Mike Malloy, and especially Thom Hartmann. And there are notable others I'm leaving out.

Any time someone in their car or office can hear something other than El Rushbo or Hannity, it's a good day. It beats the hundreds of crappy right wing nuts on the radio, syndicated on the A (Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck) list, or the B list which may include Imus, Savage, Levin, or the C list like Hugh Hewitt or Michael Medved or Laura Ingraham.

I listen on WCPT out of Chicago, which carries both of them, along with Ed Schultz and Thom Hartmann. On the weekends, they also run Hal Sparks' and David Schuster's shows, along with "The Ring of Fire" and weekly "best of" replays of Steph's and Thom's shows.

But Bill is now on at the crack of dawn and Stephanie is on in the middle of the day. But I do get to listen to Thom Hartman during my afternoon commute.

I caved in about 8 years ago and got the satellite radio. It saves my mind here in red state hell.

Laughter is the best medicine, and the most powerful weapon. She has a lot more fun on her show, and it is always upbeat--something I can really use on most days given the news cycle on MSM.

Her themes and guests are better at showing the absurdity of rightwing extremism. Press is good also but Steph's approach to get through to people is better.

They repeat stories that have long been discredited as untrue, and that makes them too much like the right-wing shows we decry for the same thing.

Stephanie, Jim and Chris are brilliant imo.

I don't want to spend my life in a bucket of tears.

Steph, Jim, and Chris have done the hard slog. They've kept to the roots and not played "the game"

They are the real deal and get it done on so many levels.

AND...they're only getting better!!!

Kind of like how Aisha Tyler isn't on Tuesday's currently because she's on some morning talk.

Plus, they do the show from 6-9am PST.

They have been having Kathleen Madigan on recently. She's great too.
