Republican Senators Are Running Away From Reporters To Avoid Talking About Trump

http://www.politicususa.com/2016/06/15/republican-senators-running-reporters-avoid-talking-trump.html

Republican Senators are hiding and in some cases running away from reporters because they are afraid to answer questions about Donald Trump....

Just because you have to walk past reporters to get places in the Capitol doesn’t mean you have to answer their questions.
There’s always the “I’m on the phone” method — whether or not there’s someone on the other line is irrelevant....

Sen. Kelly Ayotte, a vulnerable Republican facing a tough re-election battle in New Hampshire, has gotten pretty good at one important part — walking briskly past reporters and pretending not to hear anything. She added to that Tuesday, when her staff stepped between her and a reporter to say she would not be commenting on Trump.

Trump is so toxic that Republican Senators are going into hiding to avoid answering questions about the GOP nominee. Republicans think that they will be able to separate themselves from their party’s nominee if they refuse to talk about him, or even better just don’t ever take questions. But there is nowhere to run. Republicans have nowhere to hide. Donald Trump is their nominee, and there is no escape.

They were babbling about illegal teenage alien jihadists with Ebola coming into the US in droves. They are scared to death this year is a wave year for Democrats.

As Molly Ivins would say, "This is important, folks." Electing the next president shouldn't be a dumbshow with the major players able to skitter away from the horrible mess they've made of things. Chase 'em down. Cut 'em off. Make them go on the record. They're not celebrities, they're elected officials and as such are answerable to the voters. We can't all be there, so it's up to the reporters to find out just how hand-in-glove Republican officeholders are with their party's nominee for president.

Look at how the republicans have acted ever since he got into the race. They are scared to death of him because they know he is going to go down in flames and take them with him. They have seen the writing on the wall for nearly a year now. If Trump wins the nomination, he will lose badly. If they thought he could win, they would be cozening up to him not running like hell. Sure, trump could win but the based on the reaction of the republican establishment, the odds are just north of zero percent.

I'd run far, far away to keep from talking about him.

I'm really interested in running away from everything that has to do with Hillary Clinton, too.

You have your nominees, reap the results.
