Way past my bedtime, I'm afraid. Those guys at the JPL must have worked hard to have orbit initiated in Pacific Coast prime time.

and they either start to get the telemetry or don't. Even with 35 minutes of deceleration, the upper atmosphere is going to be like hitting solid rock and no one is sure whether or not that titanium case will be enough to protect the guts against heat, radiation, and whatever might be inside that upper atmosphere.

Tomorrow is when the exciting stuff will start to happen. Or not.
