And make no mistake - Republicans have control of all our news media.

Scandals allow politicians to avoid focusing on the issues that really affect Americans. Maybe that's the new normal.

9. I'm not certain you do. I was referring to total Republican control of our so-called 4th estate.

There are NO scandals on the Clinton side, save those non-scandals that are trumpeted and then repeated over and over and over again to the added advantage of Republicans and the detriment of Democrats.

However, if you mean that ignoring scandals on the Republican side (Federal lawsuit against Trump for raping a 13 year old girl and threatening her and her family with death if she ever told anyone, or the Trump-U fraud) are allowing Trump and the GOP to avoid focusing on telling the American people what their vision is for the country that will affect all Americans, then I can see your point. But that's not the "new normal". This has been happening since the hunting of Bill Clinton in the 1990's.

I think constant scandal mongering serves as a distraction from bigger issues that are way more important to the American people. I agree about the Republicans and Bill Clinton 20 years ago.

6. There is almost nothing Repugs won't pardon for one of "their" own.

There is almost nothing they won't scream from the highest mt., calling for their heads, when a
Democrat does the same thing the Repug did. They spent 3 years investigating Benghazi and almost no time investigating 9/11. Cheney had a private email server with the CIA, yawn according to them. He actually hurt ongoing intelligence efforts to restrain nukes because of personal pique, again, crickets. Cheney, GW Bush and Bush Bro. all had private email servers, who cares, even when the email was used to subvert congress as Cheney's was. All previous Repug SOS had private emails, no problem, they retroactively declassified all of them. Clinton has a private email server - off with her head - they opine. Hypocricy Inc.
