''non-partisan'' Politifact once again sucks up to the repubs:

Joni Ernst, future VP-pig-nutcutter brays about wearing bread bags on her only pair of shoes, yet dad takes over $38K in government handouts. politifact, in its fawning reprint of supporters' hagiographia, mentions this government largesse not once

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2015/jan/22/ernsts-bread-bag-story-resonates-rural-iowa-hometo/

why didn't politifact, or other media outlets, mention this:

here's the real story:

Ernst failed to mention her own family’s reliance on government assistance in her speech touting the virtues of self-reliance. According to Media Matters for America, no major media outlets that covered her speech made note of her family’s willingness to benefit from government spending, at the same time that Ersnt called for the new, Republican congress to “cut wasteful spending.”

CNN, for example, highlighted Ernst’s “hardscrabble upbringing,” while NBC News told how the 44-year-old Joni Ernst “brushed aside the president’s call for higher taxes on the wealthy, vowing that Republicans would cut wasteful spending and propose meaningful tax reforms.”

going up to the legal edge, but is "unethical," while hosting a crazed former repub congresswoman, who claims Hillary has been incompetent for her entire career on his panel, in which they say the Comey decision, because of its bogus editorializing (they don't mention the editorializing part, just the fact that he 'criticized' her actions--without, of course, indicting) is going to hurt her in the election campaign

have started at least one thread on her recently, for which I had several posts deleted while (edited out 'for'...replaced it with 'while')defending myself as a misogynist for calling her Mr. Greenspan in the OP. I edited it after the outcry, and was still derided for even referring to the fact that she was married to that ruiner of the economy.

seriously

4. WoW!!! the total loon in post #2 is Nan Hayworth. feast your eyes on this story:

The instances of her allies bumbling on her behalf would come back to haunt her again on May 26th, 2012, Nan Hayworth’s re-election campaign spokesman, Jay Townsend, for whatever reason decided to go on Facebook, and rant against female Democratic Senators voting against the interests of Wall Street in about the most grotesque manner possible:

•“My question today… when is Tommy boy going to weigh in on all the Lilly Ledbetter hypocrites who claim to be fighting the War on Women? Let’s hurl some acid at those female democratic Senators who won’t abide the mandates they want to impose on the private sector.”

Current events show that acid attacks on women were a key tactic of…the Taliban in Afghanistan. So yes, Townsend done goofed when he suggested that as a part of his response that there was no Republican “War on Women”. But worse than Townsend’s blunder when the story immediately went viral? The Hayworth campaign tried DEFENDING his comments when it didn’t go unnoticed, calling it a “manufactured controversy”. Finally, on June 4th, 2012, when it became clear the story wasn’t going away, Hayworth finally got around to firing Townsend. Y’know, only because people were still upset that nothing was being done.

On the heels of her campaign spokesman epically failing, the media decided to look at the rest of her senior campaign staff , including her campaign manager, Karl Brabenec. It seems Brabenec was infamous for hosting a Republican convention/birthday party in 2003 for the Young Republicans in Boston dubbed, “Karlpalooza”. Fliers from the event were kept around, where Brabenec promised attendees “liquor and sex to go around all evening” and asked female attendees to “wear as little clothing as possible”. The Hayworth campaign tried denying the party ever actually took place, but Brabenec resigned in August, as the election drew even closer.

Embarrassing misogynist staffers only put a microscope on some of the votes Nan Hayworth made regarding women’s issues in her only term in Congress. She had voted for the Hyde Amendment to cut federal abortion funding, and voted to cut funding to Planned Parenthood. (And yes, she was also one of the people who voted against Planned Parenthood funding on the same day she fought to continue to fund NASCAR sponsorships).

time he's tweeted/retweeted this sort of hate site-originating garbage, and needs to "cut it out," all said with more than a modicum of emotion. good for him.

halperin weakly responds, that 'even if it was an accident', he needs to wise up....said with very little enthusiasm, and failing to note the irony of the fact that he's allowing for the possibility of SIX different instances of accidentally relying on hatemongers for juicy tidbits

way to go, mark. why don't you call Obama a dick again, on the occasion of his going on the stump with Hillary
