And they are a nasty lot.
They want revenge on everyone that "took their country away". They want jail. They want blood.
Their words border on treason.
They care little about the facts or the truth. They want their political opponents punished. It doesn't matter what the FBI or the Justice Department says. They agree with Donald Trump.
They coddle up to the racism and the misogynistic comments of their new leader. They have no empathy for their fellow man. They are not people of character.
They run from responsibility. That is why many of them pretended to leave the Republican Party after Bush and Cheney screwed up Iraq and the Middle East. Even then, they were not convinced to leave until the economic crash of 2008. They did not want to be blamed for the incompetence of their votes.
Now they slither up to cold-blooded Trump as their new political savior. There is no reason to believe that their intelligence is any higher than their leader. They are a despicable lot. They have few principles. They are mad at the way their Party treated them. And now, they want to take it out on the rest of America.

(111,104 posts)And his followers are scumbags with their affiliation to him. There is no polite way to say it. Trump supporters are no better than Donald Trump.

(49,011 posts)Defeating Trump is a very good choice!
Getting out the vote is a good choice.
Winning the Senate is a good choice.
Making Ryan sweat in the House is a good choice.
Winning state Legislatures and Governorships is a good choice.
Defeating gerrymandering is a good choice.
To hell with Trump's followers in defeat. Let Law Enforcement deal with them. Let them out themselves and get locked up and then we might have a bit more peace.

(58,670 posts)they are a "majority" only in the way that the "Moral Majority" of the early RW Christofascists were, which were neither moral, nor a majority of the population.
I'm pretty sure that Trump has basically reached his ceiling when it comes to his popular support. I'd be surprised if he garners more than 40% of the vote. The electoral college will give him a few states, I suppose, but I don't see him winning a lot of them. Hillary should win almost every state that Obama did, and I suspect she'l flip a couple of 'red' states, too.

(6,335 posts)They hate liberals and liberal ideas more than anything else, kind of like ISIS. If a "lib" is for something, they r against it. When I debate them I can assume anything liberal like evolution or guns or Iraq they are for the opposite.
