Save this, and teach your children and grandchildren. I plan to.
Bushco and the Poodle cooked the intelligence. It was cooked to match the Big Lie.

(65,616 posts)And millions of dead natives. WE WERE RIGHT. It was an illegal invasion! And they knew it!

They had the plan and bent and invented stories to pursue it. Then lined their pockets with riches bought from others' pain.

(65,616 posts)They had to know this information. So many hands dripping with blood.

But she was far from alone.
And, yes, their hands are crusted with blood.

"We should work up a plan..."

(65,616 posts)Basically it lays out the plan to force Iraq to 'attack' troops already stationed there to start the war. Amazing, all there in black and white.

(12,904 posts)Sorry you were ridiculed, I know just how you feel.
My ridicule (at the time of the run-up to the disastrous invasion) concerned the whole WMD thing...I would tell my friends and family that there is no way they thought Hussein had any big stockpiles of nuclear weapons. I knew he didn't have any so-called WMD, and at time, and now, I was a Missouri housewife. The reason I knew this was really very simple...nuclear weaponry is not produced and placed on a shelf for twenty or thirty years. It is produced and put to use. They may have had some components, but no way they could have quickly detonated a nuclear device. It just doesn't work that way.
My friends and family were just as certain that I was wrong.
I must say the black and white confirmation is, sadly, a little satisfying.

(65,616 posts)They enjoyed watching shock and awe. They didn't care if he was involved in 9-11 or anything else. They heard Saddam tried to kill Dubya's daddy!
I hope this memo leads to criminal charges, it is a long time coming.

(12,904 posts)That still bring back the original rage. The Iraq War, and everything about it, is one of those things.
I remember days where I thought I was losing my mind. And then, I found the Democratic Underground, and I knew that the things that were happening politically were wrong, and I was not the only one who understood that fact. This place was an oasis for me.
