... but that's total crap. Cops are trained to shot center-mass, which means at the torso, because that's the largest target and therefore the easiest to hit under pressure. A "killshot" would be a head-shot. The only police trained to do those are SWAT snipers, for use in situations where wounding the perpetrator would put the lives of hostages in serious jeopardy.

The police was putting their life on the line when they were informed the driver in Minnesota had a gun.
If I were the Police, I would likely protect myself in a similar manner. The perpetrator was likely moving aggressively towards a weapon.
Banning guns is the only answer.

The cop asked for ID, the driver went for ID at the same time told the cop that he has a permit... the cop asks to have his hands up and the cop shoots
