"At the time I had never showered with anyone before," he said. "It was kind of weird to take showers in front of other people."
They quickly evolved into naked wrestling, touching, and eventually oral sex, he said. When they were driving together in a car, Sandusky would routinely reach over and massage his thighs.
"Basically like I was his girlfriend," Victim 4 testified. "It freaked me out."

Amendola would likely rely on that testimony to explain a series of what Victim 4 described Monday as "creepy love letters" Sandusky wrote him as he attempted to break off contact with the former coach.
"I know that I have made my share of mistakes," one of the letters read. "I hope that I will be able to say that I cared. There has been love in my heart."

At one point, Sandusky drew up a contract on Second Mile letterhead that offered the youth money in exchange for focusing on class work and spending time working out. The document also required that Victim 4 meet with Sandusky weekly.
"It was him basically trying to force me to spend time with him," the man said.

Love letters? Contracts? Sandusky is a pedophile and a complete idiot. (The letters were in Sandusky's handwriting and on PSU letterhead.)
His lawyer says he will testify. That will not end well.
There appears to be a lot of evidence such as the letters that corroborate the testimony. And contracts? Did he use Legal Zoom For Perverts? This is only after ONE accuser.
I think he should have taken a plea deal. Sandusky has to be betting there is one juror who will
vote not guilty.
Just reading about what happened makes me want to go through a Navajo cleansing ritual or something. A bath doesn't seem to be enough.

Excuse me Mr.Expert, did you not see those love letters in Sandusky's handwriting? Those alone are some very powerful evidence. Then there are the contracts.
If those aren't corroboration, then I don't know what is.
I don't think it's a slam dunk because of the jury. Most of them have ties to PSU. IMHO there should have been a change of venue. I realize that no area would be free of PSU influence and the news of the abuse charges. However, conducting the trial in the PSU area guarantees that many jurors will be close to the case in some way.

(28,811 posts)unless there's some sort of overarching pedophile culture at PSU, i don't see people associated with the school being soft on him. he besmirched their name. i don't see them wanting to do him any favors.

(17,111 posts)However, it only takes one juror to think he's innocent and not give in. That's what the defense is hoping for.

(9,001 posts)That means there is room for reasonable doubt.
Read the letter as if you didn't know the back story or even the people involved. If you can't tell who the parties are or any specifics involving abuse, then they merely become circumstantial evidence.
Corroboration will come with witnesses.
It may not seem right, but that is how justice works.

(55,445 posts)and they LOVE to make a name for themselves by "going against the grain" -- Some jaggoff on ABC was yammering about how the prosecutor's charges were too broad, too strong, and the crimes were too old, etc before I changed the channel...
If it were up to the 'legal experts', George Zimmerman would never have been arrested...
