They already have a picture of one. He is black. And the police have just held a press conference where they mentioned they have threatened to plant a bomb

Also lets do a little logical thinking. In the photo he has no body armor and no ammo. Now maybe he stashed the body armor and ammo but if that is the case why not just stash the weapon the same time. Who would go to a rally ahead of time, hide body armor and ammmo but not the gun. Then walk around in public with the gun, then sneak off link back up with the ammo and body armor and shoot cops?

I saw video of him still carrying it post shooting, but he was obviously not attacking anyone in it.

... like this was well well planned.

There's a vid of a guy shooting one of the cops in the back... he knew what he was doing

Not talking about someone with a gun who went nuts or something..

I pray they catch these bastards

which I understand he did. Almost certainly saved his life!

Watching the amateur video - these two young dudes who both got video - actually they're doing a great job! One of them, Ismael DeJesus, very articulate eyewitness. Very poised. Impressive.

MAN this is so sad, so frightening, so discouraging. One CNN talking head just said - "we need to keep a calm head here, we are above vigilante-ism". Good Grief I would hope so. Retired FBI guy says this seems like something that was planned. Sheesh. And the anchor goes to a break, summing up with "... Dallas, which is now under siege."

Whenever you say goodbye to someone you care about, make sure "love you" is the last thing they hear. These days, you never know...

It's more than clear that he had nothing to do with it. He's just another one of those silly people who likes to walk around with their rifles... Anyway, hopefully he won't suffer too much since he seems to have been cleared fairly early on.

I am skeptical of making an assumption that it was racially motivated.

If these shooters were a well coordinated group who had laid these plans out over time, you have to believe that they don't care about their families or friends because of the potential backlash that could fall upon their parents, siblings spouses, even their own children. The truth is that that's what BLM is all about protecting peers and making things better for the future. I have talked with a lot of activists who are involved specifically because of the threats to themselves and especially their families.

If it is as well organized as I am hearing, I have a difficult time imagining that a small group filled with rage and grief esentially snapped 2 days ago and quickly planned it.

I have no idea what is possible, and I have a bias based my proximity and activity in the BLM movement. It appears to me that the possibilities are numerous and ambiguous. But, I'm not ready to give up on my friends who live with constant threats that I would never dream of imagining would be directed towards me. I hope other sympathizers will hold out for details as well.
