For people not from the area, these locations will forever be linked to that murder.

Because it's Dallas.

If there's another terrorist attack, or one thwarted in NYC, they'll probably reference 9/11.

If there's riots in LA, they'll probably reference the Rodney King riots of '92.

This brings back images of JFK because it's snipers in Dallas. Search sniper, Dallas, and you'll get nothing but JFK stories.

Well until tonight.

happened within a few blocks of each other. If you weren't alive during the Kennedy assassination you don't understand the significance of the events which occurred in Dallas over that weekend.

A coincidence by city only. I just think they are playing these events off each other way too much. There's no other context for it, really. OK, obviously it's just me. Never mind.

where Kennedy was supposed to speak.

Later that nite he decided to drive down to review the scene of the crime. Imagine my twin brother and I at 5 years old trying to process the death of a beloved President, a sniper and then driving at nite to something called the "triple underpass". My twin and I hid on the floor board of the back seat. we were traumatized-one of my earliest memories

I was traumatized by it and I was just watching coverage on the television. I can also remember seeing the live feed of Ruby shooting Oswald and my mom telling me I was watching history. You were much closer.

its the red brick old building with a clock tower that can be seen as Kennedy takes a left hand turn into Triple Under-pass. Shooting actually occurred as Parade headed about 3 blocks east. The Shooting occurred generally in an open area near the tall skyscraper

Deley Plaza looks almost exactly like it did on 63. There is an x painted in the street right where Kennedy's head exploded in the Zapruder film. I actually once found myself driving a convertable right through there. Kind of a weird feeling.
