Former Ill. Rep. Walsh after Dallas shooting: 'Watch out Obama'

Former Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh declared “This is now war” and called for President Obama to “watch out” in a Twitter post reacting to a Dallas shooting that left five police officers dead and six others injured.

“This is now war. Watch out Obama. Watch out black lives matter punks. Real America is coming after you,” he wrote in the post, which has since been deleted.



In subsequent tweets that remained posted as of early Friday, he called the shooters “uneducated black thugs” and blamed President Obama and the Black Lives Matter movement for the officers’ deaths.

“I wasn’t calling for violence, against Obama or anyone. Obama’s words and BLM’s deeds have gotten cops killed,” he Tweeted.

Corrupt cops, corrupt prosecutors and a "look the other way while you watch the racist good ole boys" terrorize and kill Americans with impunity. That's what has killed cops, Joe. When you stand by and do nothing, this is the result. On edit, I know how this feels personally, I've lost a family member to police violence. Some don't like for me to call it what it was, it was murder by a policeman in front of her children. How many of you would not be affected by this especially if it was your family, that person was unarmed, and had no police record. The police officer went home to his family, we buried ours.
