So is Texas now going to make it illegal for blacks to buy guns?

Seems to me that's the next logical step. After all, we're talking about a state that wants to secede from the United States. Why would a state want to do this? I'm not really sure, but here are a few guesses:

0 They want to make it illegal for certain people to vote.

0 They want to wipe out all taxes for the wealthy.

0 They want to do away with medicare, medicaid and social security.

0 They want every white man to own and carry guns anywhere, anytime.

0 They want to legalize lynching (of certain people).

0 They want to reinstate slavery.

(I don't think that many white Texas Republicans are alone in seeking these goals. It's a form of sickness that exists in far too may people in this country.)

So I guess I'm just a liberal who expects the worst from some of the worst people around. If you disagree with any of my guesses, let's hear about it.

Nonetheless, I'd like to see them try it out for a while.

Just think: They wouldn't be able to get federal aid for hurricaines, floods, tsunamis, etc. They would be on their own if Mexico decided to invade them. There would be no federal. bailout for bank failures. International treaties would not protect anyone from anything. ... Well, you get the idea.

And truth be known, the vast majority of them don't really want to secede. It's just a "talking point and a tactic." And for those who really, really do want to secede, well, I guess those idiots are the definition of being fucked up beyond repair.

in Texas, for sure, just like any other state, but Texas isn't THAT bad. It isn't the 1920's down there.

The people who want to secede are a small subset of the right.

Reinstate slavery? Really?

Is this really what you take away from last night?

Are you crazy or just a Texas hater?

How small they are, I don't know.

But I'm not a "Texas hater." I'm someone who is looking at a widespread sickness in this country, that mostly infects older, white Christian men who are yearning for some past that never really existed.

And yes, there are those that are all for slavery. True, they are the most extreme, but those who share most of their goals, The Republican Party, are just conveniently overlooking that "slavery thing." Not to mention that too much of Jim Crow has already returned.

that some people who have been pushed over the edge have totally lost it.

I don't agree with them, but I can understand the incredible anger, frustration and decades (centuries?) that have pushed people to act this way.

Here's what I believe: I believe that most white and black people will condemn what happened last night.

I condemn it.

And I also believe that the black community will be unfairly tarred with this attack. And that too many white's will say: "See, told you what they are."

Racism is America's curse. And I fear that Dallas will unleash the crazed passions of too many white haters. And too many black haters also. And this is a road that leads to the graveyard.

I've always morbidly predicted that gun control will only happen when black men start open carrying in large numbers or black men start killing white people in mass shootings.

It's simply too easy for anyone to get a gun, legally or illegally.
