Not that I followed him closely, but my recollection was that he was a successful and well liked governor.
I would hate to see a senator picked with the possibility of having that seat filled by a republic pick by the state's governor.

In the event Warren is tapped, the governor's appointment would be temporary. A special election would follow shortly. Speculation is Joe Kennedy III (or IV is it?) would be the front runner.

Good information - as for me I would love to see Warren on the leadership team in the senate.

And thus I retire any thoughts of Deval Patrick.
My impression of him was formed by bits and pieces from the good old M$M.
