And people wonder why more good cops don't speak out--if suspension and possible job loss is the result.
I know we like to think we'd do anything to stop the senseless killings by bad police officers but here you have proof that speaking your mind and stating your opinion does you no good.
I hope she gets her job back 'cause we need more officers like her.

Update: Mayor Brad Sellers has released a statement confirming that Officer Jones is not fired, not suspended and is still a full time officer. He stated that she did not violate social media policy by making the now viral video.

(13,920 posts)I would be less concerned about being suspended or fired, and more concerned about whether other officers would back me up at the next call. Losing a job sucks. Losing your life, or being shot in the back seems a different level of sucking.
