'Friends, just a couple of weeks ago, I joined my House Democratic colleagues for an historic sit-in on the House floor to encourage Speaker Paul Ryan to bring up common sense gun reform for a vote. With your help and encouragement we are keeping up the pressure for closing loopholes so we have comprehensive back ground checks and keep guns out of the hands of terrorists. We continue the fight.
That is why I need your activism and advocacy once again. On the coming Thursday, July 14, House Democrats want you to join us on the West Lawn of the US Capitol At 7:30 pm to send the loudest possible message to Speaker Ryan that enough is enough. Too many people have lost their lives, many at a time and one at a time. 91 a day, 33,000 every year. We must not let up.
