Donald Trump Tells NBC's Katy Tur to "Be Quiet"

Donald Trump held a patently absurd press conference this morning, in which he offered that foreign governments should hack Hillary Clinton, asked reporters if they’re familiar with the “n-word,” and referred to John Hinckley—the man who tried to kill Ronald Reagan—as “David.”

As a result, the room seemed tense. Attendant reporters pressed Trump on his casual assertions, and Trump tried to freestyle his way out of trouble. At one point, NBC’s Katy Tur drilled Trump on whether it was appropriate for him to ask—even as a joke—that Russia or China to search for the emails Clinton deleted from her private server. In the midst of a back-and-forth, Trump says to Tur: “Be quiet—I know you wanna, you know, save her.”

The way to annoy Trump is to poke at his self-created unflappability. A reporter returning to a tossed-off comment to ask him what he really meant is one way of doing that. When the reporter is a woman, Trump feels emasculated, and lashes out. If he manages to win this election, his press conferences from the White House should be, uh, something.

She was the half-his-age girlfriend of Keith Olbermann, and then magically ended up jumping from The Weather Channel to prime time MSNBC news coverage.

Her reporting is generally mediocre to poor.

If she's young and new, maybe she has some things to learn. IMHO that doesn't mean she isn't a good reporter.

I'm looking forward to her getting more face time.

She said he can't stand not being in the press, what with all attention being on the DNC, so he held that conference and made any number of outlandish, ill-conceived remarks hoping one or more would land him back in the news.

"The way to annoy Trump is to poke at his self-created unflappability." Esp. by a woman.

Question his genitals 'fer Chriss sake and he makes an enormous ass of himself. Ridicule his executive 'leadership' from "Celebrity Apprentice", and he's reduced to "unmovable rage." Question his fortune? Look out!

Belittle his womanizing, his compulsive need for constant self-reassurance, his business failures, his compulsion to grossly amplify his wealth, his incessant boastfulness about his 'awesome power" to always have his way, that he doesn't know many words, and he'll pop. Hell; he'll explode.
