This is a genuine inquiry. I'm just listening to an interview with Sanders advisor Pete De Los Santos who is talking about building a movement to push for more progressives to run for office around the country in the coming years. It reminds me of the movements that both Howard Dean & Dennis Kucinich have talked about in the past.
I'm certain that there are progressives among us who have supported all three of these pols over the past 20 years. But I'm curious about what people know about the political relationship between Sanders and Kucinich.
Do they get along? Share goals & networks? Share advisors? Do they have a slight rivalry? Are they strangers? Did they work together in Congress over the years?
Just curious.

(47,649 posts)Kucinich pops to mind frequently when I see Bernie Sanders, but I've heard little from or about him in the past few years. I remember some very vocal Kucinich supporters during the 2008 primaries, many disappeared once the primaries were over.

(54,087 posts)His Wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Kucinich is interesting. But it stops with his leaving Congress in 2013. There's a line that says he took a recurring analyst gig at Fox in 2013, but I don't recall hearing of him ever being there.
Anyway, this is what a newsgoogling finds about Kucinich of late

I know Dennis talked about supporting Bernie, but I don't know to what extent. They were alerts I'd get from the Google that I don't recall reading. Just remember the sentiment.

(54,087 posts)I can understand his problem with the party higherups. He's from the dissident wing of the party, which is necessary for us to remains in touch with our populist roots.
But I cannot accept anyone supporting the Cavs. There are simply moral absolutes in this world.
