1. My take on him is that he sees running for President

as just another reality show. I also think he doesn't plan very far ahead, ever, and so hasn't a clue what he would do if he actually won the election. I know he's made some pronouncements about Cabinet members, or who he'd nominate to the Supreme Court, but he hasn't actually spent the kind of time considering who ought to fill those positions that a real Presidential candidate would.

I also sincerely doubt he'll drop out of the race, because his ego is being constantly stroked these days. And if he doesn't win in November, he will no doubt attempt to tie things up in court, claiming all sorts of nonsense about rigged votes and the like. If we are very lucky, the news media will stop covering him by mid-November, but I wouldn't count on it.

2. Shhh, this epic flameout is going to be magnificent

When the mask comes off and we see Andy Kaufman, the noise from the synchronized ripping off of thousands of sTump bumper stickers will be glorious and deafening.

3. The next clown that their 'base' puts up will be worse.

Trump is Pennywise. When he loses, they will run John Wayne Gacy. We need to be very thoughtful about how the Republican (and Democratic, to be fair) Party Establishments have disempowered the working and middle classes, and where that anger gets directed in terms of electoral politics.

We CAN get it back, but it's going to take telling Wall Street to go fuck yourself. The first Party to pass Publicly-funded elections via national tax will run Congress for the next 50 years.
