(21,925 posts)like he didn't come in 2008. Republicans say Obama shouldn't dwell on the past and blame Bush. But by avoiding Bush like the plague, Republicans are painfully aware of the past themselves.

(14,177 posts)because Bush looks competent standing next to him. Bush at least knows the word compassion even if he is a bit (a whole lot) confused as how to exercise it. Rmoney, on the other hand has none doesn't understand the word and thinks it is a horrifying word to even use in a conversation. Bush had smart handlers even if they were evil. Rmoney has somehow managed to find stupid and evil handlers, like the one that made the Etch a sketch gaffe. And I think Bush realizes that Rmoney would be a horrible president, so horrible he would rather not help him on the campaign trail and I do think he could help if he wanted to. I think he felt the same way about McCain to a lesser degree. In any case, I am glad Bush is gone, glad he isn't helping the GOP or even trying. And I am glad Rmoney doesn't have much of a chance of winning.

(8,556 posts)Less Bush is better for everybody involved, including Bush himself. The less people hear from him, the more they will forget.
