"was childish and irresponsible..."
And yet, both accurate and biting in the opinion of many others.

Horatian Satire requires trivialization of the subject and Warren is in that good company of Ambrose Beirce and Mark Twain in that regard. Bierce consistently "devalued" the sacred cows of industrialized war and the buffoonish statements of political candidates.

No doubt, that goblin of consistency may compel one to call Mark Twain childish and irresponsible as well.

I'm tired of our party always taking the high road and getting trounced because of it. We don't need to stoop to their level, but we do need to start hitting back hard.

Bullies always continue to go after the passive. That is until they get their ass handed to them and then they slink away like the pathetic little cowards that they are.

Wed Aug 10, 2016, 03:06 PM
Aug 2016

Sometimes heard when when counter culture folks had enough of the insults and started to flaunt the very stereotypes assigned them: Smoking pot before the T.V. cameras (who ALWAYS looked for that), flounced about without shirt or bra, shook hugely long hair with stuff in it, shot the bird in demonstrations, wore beads of neck-breaking weight... the whole gamut. The "white collar conservatives flashing down the street" would use the expression, sometimes more sympathetic folks. Then as now, the "squares" would take violent action against the hippies, and on occasion, vice versa.

Make no mistake, Trump is "murder-mouthing," and probably wishes he can vicariously pick up some crotch stink when someone else does the dirty deed, but the tRump brigade ain't gonna try some takeover. If the "takeover" of the Oregon federal facility is any indication, even folks in supposedly sympathetic surroundings will back off ...and cut their hair a bit, and lay off the tallboys.

Trouble is though, stating that Donald is making a death threat no matter how clearly and succinctly, cuts no mustard. Stating that you contacted the FBI or the AG, that's not devaluating it. However, that's not to be reported as such until the FBI or AG presses those charges. That leaves the next best move as being to get under the perp's skin.

And, that is not child's play.

"Murder-mouthing."

The aim is to hussle ones nuts and look tough, hoping someone else will do something violent, then shrug & casually chime in about how you knew it was gonna happen. All the while, the murder-mouthers are too chicken shit to do any of their own stink work. Warren has it right, and suggests further that Democrats should toughen up a little, if for no other reason than to dispel the myth, effectively constructed by the FR, that liberal/progreseives are too weak; you know... down there.
