How the hell does Trump reconcile..."That will be a horrible day."

Directly after his Second Amendment quip, if what he was talking about was simply the unity behind second amendment supporters? It's like he immediately caught himself and tried to walk it back with "that will be a horrible day." It doesn't make sense otherwise. And why hasn't anyone asked him that or brought it up yet?

it would be a horrible day if the 2nd amendment rights people vote for Trump (the current campaign explanation for the statement).

For once, I agree with him.

Well, not really. He meant they should shoot her and that would be a horrible day.

The "2nd amendment people" shooting Clinton and/or the judges was a parenthetical comment, and the horrible day is the day she gets to pick her judges.

A shocking, horrifying statement none-the-less.

Doesn't make sense. I honestly think he was walking back the assassination remark.

I certainly can't and would never want to be able to read Trump's mind but it read that way to me.

"“Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish, the Second Amendment…By the way, and if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know. But I’ll tell you what, that will be a horrible day.”

Basically all over the place.

My guess is though he left it just vague enough to explain away after implying otherwise.

that assassination of people he dislikes would be a horrible day. He's too self-centered. To him, it would be a very good day indeed. He wouldn't even be able to come up with the idea that it might be a horrible day as long as he was getting what he wanted.

He has no regulator on what he thinks (to use the term loosely) and says.

He made the suggestion - then tried to "cover" it with saying "that will be a horrible day." It makes it more damning as it shows what he really was thinking
