The clear lesson for Republicans in this election cycle is

their #1 job going forward is to abolish the Department of Education.

They have to beat down the vestiges of our once brilliant public education system. It is becoming evident that the under-educated, "low information:" voter who is hurting financially, and confused as to why, is their path to power.

And UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES can Civics be on the curriculum anywhere.

What happened to him?

It still amazes me that for years he was able to get repug office holders to sign that stupid pledge that he thought up when he was a 12-year-old boy.

That party was beholden to a 12-year-old's imaginings for years, and now they have Trump.

Seems somehow appropriate.

at the local level by taking the school boards. There are many documented cases of school boards attempting to alter textbooks or passing ridiculous requirements.
I have started going to the meetings in my county and will likely run next time there is an election.
