Mass panic incident at NY JFK Airport

Just saw this on local NBC. People ran out of Terminal 8 and Terminal 1. People thought they heard gunshots. People hit the floor and ran out of the terminals. Only issue is that there was no shooting, shooter, and victims. When people were asked why they ran they said it was because other people were running. JFK is now a mess.

'The police evacuated travelers from two terminals at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Sunday night and closed part of a major highway that runs near it after unconfirmed reports of gunfire at the airport spread panic there, a spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said.

A mall in North Carolina, panic, no evidence of any shots found, but panicked folk thought they heard shots in food court near cosmetics store
