Seen many yard signs or is it still too early?

My wife and spent 6 hours in the road in Virginia this weekend. Richmond west to Roanoke north to Staunton and back to Richmond. The trip to Roanoke was our "low road" route (actually pass through the Appamatox battlefields and Liberty U.), after that it was all interstate. I saw a total of 2 yard signs. Both Trump. We were in really RED areas.

I don't mean this as an indicator but between our area and this road trip I'm not seeing hardly any yard signs. There were a few large signs (probably by the campaign) for a Congressional race.

Are you seeing many? My wife says it's just still too early.

I saw a few Romney/Ryan ones last time around, and there's still a guy with a Bush/Cheney one about five houses down from me. I don't think I ever saw a McCain/Sparklemoose sign.

Despite carrying Virginia in 2008 and 2012, PBO lost in those predominantly rural and conservative areas. I used to live in Hampton Roads and he won our area as a whole but still lost large conservative areas like Virginia Beach and Chesapeake.

I think the same will hold true this time. Clinton/Kaine will still win Virginia by carrying Hampton Roads and NOVA and the majority of Richmond but lose in places like VB and Roanoke.

The city of Roanoke actually votes Dem (railroader and LGBT) but gets engulfed by the surrounding counties.

College towns, NOVA, Hampton, Norfolk are our turf. Flipping Henrico county in 2008 was huge. Eastern Henrico is black middle class but winning western Henrico was reflective of the statewide change. 3 of the last 4 Governors, the last 4 Senate races, but yet 9 of our 11 Congressional reps are Republican - gerrymandered by the Gen. Assembly.

It's basically a 1.5 million person sprawl with occasional street sign color changes.

I routinely see yard signs for local/state elections, but here in the deep-red, fly-over state, no one bothers. I saw ONE Bernie sign during the primaries, its gone now with no Hillary replacement.

in west St. Louis County, a Gary Johnson one. I've seen some Trump stickers on a few pickup trucks. About an equal number of Hillary stickers. Just not alot of signage around here yet. I expect more signs for our governor's race: Mr. "I can shoot a big gun!" Eric Greitens versus Chris Koster. We have a big problem with ISIS infiltration into our rural areas here in Missourah.

I have seen a handful of Trump signs. One house has had a Trump sign since way back in the Primaries. In Philly, there was a house with some Trump signs, but they were gone by my next visit to the neighborhood. I am also seeing more Trump stickers.

I saw my first Hillary sign at a house last week. I see A LOT of bumper stickers for her, though.

It's still fairly early for signs.

Couple Hillary signs. No tRump. Only Hillary signs not Clinton/Kaine. A few houses still have Bernie signs.

CORRECTION: I've seen one Clinton Kaine sign. I've also noticed a lot of the houses with Hillary signs are houses that used to have Bernie signs. UNITY!

but I've seen a lot of Trump signs on local business I will never frequent. One is an auto mechanic with maybe 10 or 15 signs including one sign that says you can come in and get your own signs. At least one of them is a 5' wide billboard-style sign - probably 6 or 8 feet tall. I have 0 faith he would treat me fairly on an auto repair.

Seen a few Bernie signs left out still and maybe two Trump signs in wealthy red areas. Have seen several Hillary bumper stickers tho if that counts.
