What a shame he couldn't just dig up Breitbart himself for the position.
LAS VEGAS Donald J. Trump has shaken up his presidential campaign for the second time in two months, hiring a top executive from the conservative news site Breitbart News and promoting a senior adviser to a key new role in an effort to right his faltering campaign.
Stephen Bannon, the executive chairman of Breitbart News LLC, will become the Republican campaigns chief executive, and Kellyanne Conway, a senior adviser and pollster for Mr. Trump and his running mate, Gov. Mike Pence of Indiana, will become the campaign manager.
Paul Manafort, the campaign chairman, will retain his title. But the staffing change, hammered out on Sunday and set to be formally announced Wednesday morning, represents a demotion for Mr. Manafort, who took control of the campaign nearly two months after Mr. Trump won the primary in Indiana, forcing the remaining two candidates from the race.
The news, first reported by The Wall Street Journal, was confirmed early Wednesday by Ms. Conway in a brief interview, but she rejected the idea that the changes amounted to a shake-up.

(53,339 posts)I've seen Conway on cable news and she was terrible as a Trump surrogate.
I know nothing about Bannon, but I don't see a top Breitbart exec shaking up and saving the campaign. I can see him having Trump telling people "BEHAVE yourselves! BEHAVE yourselves!"

(53,339 posts)Just more evidence of Trump's erratic and bizarre thinking. And how closed-in and isolated he is in his "thinking." If one can even call it that.

(26,060 posts)There has got to be a way to hang that piece of crap website and the repulsive stories they push around don the con's neck. Every single surrogate has to use the word sleazy - for both Manafort and Bannon - time for the Democrats to do the digging on Bannon and make donnie regret this move.

(16,975 posts)the likes of Chuck Todd for not keeping the anti-everything hysteria on Clinton, and Chuck was actually apologetic to her for giving time at all to Donald's complete incompetence and buffoonery. She was griping that Chuck had to do his part to malign Clinton every chance he got, and they all agreed that was a good strategy.
