you need to go to freerepublic.com and ask those people that question. They are the people that are going to vote for Romney.

On edit: don't forget to come back and let us know how it goes for you over there.

None of us can understand why any thinking person would vote for Romney. The problem is, there seem to be too many ignorant people out there.

Romney can't solve it either. Neither one will admit that. If
Americans believe Romney, we could be in jeopardy.

I hope they don't, but Americans aren't too bright.

If the economy turns up, Romney will just be an asterisk. If it turns down, Obama will be in a tight spot.

Time will clear this one up.

pretty clear to me that this non-native speaker of English clearly prefers Obama to Romney and is perplexed about why Americans are being flim-flammed.

I've taught English as a Second Language and these grammatical problems exactly conform to problems many students from Asian countries have speaking and writing English. (I'm thinking OP is possibly Chinese, Malaysian or Filipino.)

The syntax of "he all respects!" (sic) is a dead giveaway to anyone who has taught ESL.

There was a troll who created several accounts in rapid succession and this was his feeble attempt to pose as a foreigner to hopefully gain sympathy and fly under the radar and some of us were on to him.

It doesn't surprise me that he obviously managed to fool some around here. But thanks for accusing your fellow Dems for acting like FR posters. I stick around because I'm just a stubborn bitch, but if I wasn't, some posting in this thread would have chased me off by now since I don't engage in their particular brand of groupthink. But, I guess that is what they want.

But, go ahead and continue to be taken in by trolls. I'm sure that will be productive.

16. There are several factors why voters may elect Mitt Rob-me.

First off, many of our country's voters believe that business experience is a must in order to govern a country (just look at our last pResident). Obama has no business experience, while Rob-me has experience at Bain Capital, albeit laying off workers and outsourcing jobs.

Secondly, our news isn't exactly the most reliable. Much of our media is intent on keeping the election close for Republicans, despite how inept and out of touch with reality the GOP has become. If you notice the way some stories are framed about Obama, you'll get the picture. And Fox News, especially, has it out for him and pretty much any other Democrat or liberal. They are notorious for spreading conservative propaganda and giving Republicans passes and softball questions while interrupting opposing viewpoints.

Third, the economy continues to struggle even with a Democratic president. Many of our voters aren't that informed about politics, so they instantly blame the guy at the top (which is Obama of course), while neglecting the fact that he cannot get much done under divided government. For instance, he wanted to pass a jobs bill last Summer and raise taxes on the rich, but the GOP majority in Congress blocked his efforts. Many Democrats sat out the 2010 Congressional elections, thus allowing the pathway for Republicans to control the House and gain seats in the Senate.

Fourth, as someone stated earlier in this thread, his race has been somewhat of a thorn in his side. According to several sources, racial animus costed him a few points in the '08 election, and he may have won by even more if he were White.
