House arrest, probation for sex with teen girl

A Vandergrift (PA) man who police said showed interest in vampire-like cults will serve 10 years on probation and two years of house arrest for having sex with a 14-year-old girl last year.

Jonathan Ryan Davis, 22, pleaded guilty in November to a felony charge of statutory sexual assault in connection with an encounter he had with the girl in a church stairwell after they had been drinking alcohol.

Westmoreland County (PA) Judge Richard E. McCormick Jr. said:
“At this point, the court is satisfied this sentence will meet the requirement of punishment, rehabilitation and the protection of the community”

Assistant District Attorney Chris Flanigan lobbied for a prison sentence that required Davis to serve more than two years behind bars.

Sometimes a juvenile conviction gets wiped from the record completely. Meaning the judge in this case might not have been allowed to consider that, depending on the laws in that state.

The article doesn't give much information concerning that case or when it happened. But he was obviously a minor at that time.
