Funny Awkward Moment On The TV Today...

Alex Witt was interviewing Cornell William Brooks, the president and CEO of the NAACP, when she sets up a clip of Hillary listing some of the many examples of Trump's racist statements & actions to get his reaction. Instead of showing that clip however, they start running a part of a Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial featuring the very "bronzed" George Hamilton (dressed as the Colonel) selling extra crispy chicken. Well, Alex quickly said "that's not the right clip, do we have that clip?", and when they didn't she started to paraphrase what Hillary had said when the realization of just how bad the optics of that had been. Between her obvious stammering embarrassment and Mr. Brooks trying to keep a straight face I almost spit my Pepsi.

but the idea of George Hamilton selling extra-crispy chicken is somewhat funny.

I didn't realize that George Hamilton played the Extra Crispy Colonel. I clearly don't pay close enough attention to what's important in modern culture.
