Is there a more obnoxiously insincere, sanctimonious, bloviating blowhard than Pence?

After forcing myself to watch about ten minutes' worth of his ludicrous shtick with Tapper today, I came away with the notion that he's even more loathsome than Trump.

Think of the worst soap opera actor you've ever watched, vomiting up the most amateurish bathos you've ever witnessed, and that's Pence.

At least Trump has redeeming comic value. Pence is just a pompous, craven thug, of the lowest, most pandering order.

anybody ever try watching that creep for more than 30 seconds?

Today's horror show was my "reward."

It was a short time, but I found out the state was just shy of Kansas from unmovable Republican extremism. They always elect a Republican as governor without ever considering a Democrat.

It's like a board game with Rebublican Party rules. Evan Bayh was willing to play by those rules. He really sucked.

Indiana does not always vote a Republican into the Governor's office. Evan Bayh, Frank O'Bannon and Joe Kernan were Governor before Daniels. All Democrats.

I'm hopeful for Gregg this year! Pence has done his part to help out.

The state once elected Democrats. We had some excellent Democratic governors and Democratic Senators and Congressional Representatives. Lugar was GOP but he was more moderate than some (and later he was against the Tea Party crazies). There were a lot of moderates in the state, even Republican moderates. Then everyone went crazy over abortion and Rush Limbaugh. After that it was never the same. You should have been there after Obama was elected. geez...

He told us that if Johnson was elected we'd all be communists! It seems funny now, but at that time we were pretty impressionable.

The Tea Party is the Birchers reborn, I think. Have you read Claire Connor's book about her John Birch family, Wrapped in the Flag? Good book.

Sinister figures lurk around our careless president

With eyes wide open, Mike Pence eagerly auditioned for the role as Donald Trump’s poodle. Now comfortably leashed, he deserves the degradations that he seems too sycophantic to recognize as such. He did Trump’s adolescent bidding with last Sunday’s preplanned virtue pageant of scripted indignation — his flight from the predictable sight of players kneeling during the national anthem at a football game. No unblinkered observer can still cling to the hope that Pence has the inclination, never mind the capacity, to restrain, never mind educate, the man who elevated him to his current glory. Pence is a reminder that no one can have sustained transactions with Trump without becoming too soiled for subsequent scrubbing.
